To continue the spirit of Mole de Mayo Festival and in following the COVID guidelines, ESDC hosted Mole de Mayo Restaurant Week, May 22-24, 2020. A total of 15 small business owners participated with their mole specials! The restaurant promotion also served to encourage neighbors and the surrounding communities to purchase mole specials for dine-in, delivery or carry-out.
We purchased delicious mole specials prepared by 14 Pilsen restaurants and one local renowned chef
We listed showeased some artisans’ products
We were inspired to keep the mole tradition alive and to look forward to a live event in 2022
We held People’s Choice via online and Best Mole hosted by the Mexican Consulate of Chicago
